IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Lee
Wren
August 6, 1954 – November 18, 2025
Margaret Allen Wren, known affectionately to family and friends as, "Mamere," passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on August 6, 1954, in Tokyo, Japan, to Don and Betty Allen, who preceded her in death.
Margaret was also preceded in death by her loving husband of over 22 years, Jeffrey Wren, and her sister, Debra Allen.
She is survived by her two daughters, Angela LeBlanc (Patrick) and Suzanne Hobart (Justin); her brother, Don Allen (Becky); and her grandchildren: Maggie McMurty (Conner), Roni Wood (Michael), Matthew Carman, Christopher Carman, John Carman, Christopher LeBlanc, and Adam LeBlanc. She also leaves behind two cherished great-grandchildren, Thomas and Miriam.
Margaret lived a rich and varied professional life. She worked in several fields, including cosmetology, and she served as a paraprofessional for special education in the public school system. She also spent many years in the film industry, contributing in numerous capacities—including as an extra, production assistant, and in costuming. Her creativity, determination, and adaptability made her a valued presence wherever she worked.
Margaret never hesitated to lend a helping hand where it was needed. She would take on any kind of work required and worked tirelessly to support and uplift her family. She was always ready to drive a church bus, sew handmade Halloween costumes, bake goodies on short notice, or sit proudly at her grandchildren's school presentations. And in a pinch, she would smile and say she had "just what you need"—and she always did. Mamere was also quick-witted, often lending levity to even the most serious situations, and her humor brought comfort and ease to those around her. Her generosity of spirit and unwavering devotion were felt by all who knew her.
To her family, Margaret was the heart of every gathering—steady, kind, and endlessly loving. Her warmth, resilience, and selflessness leave a legacy that will endure in the lives she touched.
Margaret and her husband were proud supporters of the Minden St. Jude Charity Auction each year. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation in their honor.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Christus Hospice and Garden Park Nursing Home for providing Margaret with such loving care over the last two and a half years.
A memorial service will be held from 2 PM until 4 PM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71115.
