Memorial services for Mamie Barbara Tatum, 72, of Shreveport, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Redmen Cemetery with Bobby Tatum conducting. Mamie will be remembered as a loving mother and daughter. She always did the best she could do for her son and mother. Mamie born in Valliant, Oklahoma on April 20, 1947, to parents, John P. Tatum and Eula Bell Tatum and passed away in her home March 18, 2020. Mamie worked in the travel industry for many years, but found true enjoyment as an owner/operator of a bait store. In her later years, she enjoyed working in her garden, growing flowers in her greenhouse and spending time with her various dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edsal D. Kesterson(3/22/1949 – 3/23/2000), brother, Robert E.Lee Tatum; sister, Thelma Foster; half-sister, Rubie Tatum Mackey; half-brother, William D. Tatum; half-sister, Fay Tatum Penden; and beloved nephew, Faron Bobby "Buster" Foster. Left to cherish her memory is her only son, Rick Tatum; sisters, Irene Tatum Crane and Vivian Tatum Gibboney; brother, Howard Tatum; nieces, Laura Gonzales, Melondy Gibboney, Amanda Gibboney, Tammy L. Tatum, Sandra Jean "Polly" Foster Miller, Nancy Foster, Debbie Foster, Angel Foster, Sandy L. Tatum, Susie Wall, Phillis Crane, Rebecca Crane, Janice Tatum and Judy Gibboney; nephews, Chester Foster, Jeffery G. Foster, Randy Foster, Paul Wall Jr., Wesley Tatum, Clint Tatum, Jimmy Crane, Bobby Tatum, and Lewis Tatum.
