It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Malinda Gaspard at the age of 56. Malinda peacefully departed this life on May 22, 2025, at 9:29 p.m., leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories.

Born on February 20, 1969, Malinda lived a life devoted to her family and filled with warmth, care, and kindness. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, whose unwavering support and unconditional love touched all those fortunate enough to know her.

Malinda is survived by her loving husband, Donald Gaspard Sr.; her two daughters, April Fraley and Tamara Gaspard; her two sons, Donald Gaspard Jr. and Dustin Gaspard; her mother, Patricia Canupp; her brother, Frank Lucas; and her adopted brother, Mark Matherne. She also leaves behind eleven adoring grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who will always carry her love and memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Lucas; her sister, Kathy Lucas; her grandmother, Inez Broussard; and cherished family members including her aunts Lois Toups, Lois Ray Matherne, Joyce Calais, Barbra Matherne, and her uncle Junior Matherne.

Malinda's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched. Her family, friends, and all who loved her will remember her as a woman of strength, compassion, and generosity.
