Lucian L. Prothro, Shreveport, LA - Lucian L Prothro, born in Coushatta in 1926 departed for his heavenly home January 31, 2009, following a lengthy illness. His earthy life will be celebrated in a graveside service, Monday, February 2, at Centuries Memorial Cemetery conducted by Dr. Daniel Perkins at 11:00am. Mr. Prothro served his country in the US Navy during World War II, was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church and retired from Sears. He is preceded in death by his wife Harriet, the love of his life. Left to cherish his memories are his wife's siblings, several nieces along with numerous great nephews and nieces. Lucian loved to work on hot rods, campout, water ski, share long stories and shoot guns with his best friend M. H. "Skip" Luce. He'll be remembered as the worlds most caring neighbor.
