Lois Ellen (Ponder) McFarland, age 70, of Shreveport, LA, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Willis-Knighton Pierremont Health Center in Shreveport, LA. Mrs. McFarland was better known as "Nana." Arrangements are being handled by Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA. Funeral service will be at Kings Highway Christian Church, 806 Kings Highway at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 5, 2008, Pastor David Bryce officiating. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 26 years, Oscar Ray McFarland, Jr. Left to cherish "Nana's" memory are: her two daughters, Martha McFarland and Cheryl McFarland, two sons, Gary McFarland & Michael McFarland, three sisters and one brother, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
