With great sadness, we announce the passing of Lois M. Bryant, 91, on October 4, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Lois was our dearly loved mother, nana, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and daughter. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and close friends. Dr. Murray Hodge be is officiating the Graveside services that will be held at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.
Lois was born 09/23/1932 in Parma, MO. She was an active member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. She loved watching her Dallas Cowboys! She enjoyed all sports and playing card games with her friends.
Lois is preceded in death by her loving Husband of 38 years of marriage Bill Bryant, her parents John and Daisy H. Walker and her brother E.J. Walker.
She is survived by Her son Mark F. Preddy, Sr. (Beena), Daughter Melanie K. Smith (D.D.), Stepdaughter Cheryl E. Moore, Curtis and Stepson William M. Bryant. Grandchildren – Ashley P. Lafite, Misti M. Nixon, Stephanie M. Wasson, Brian, Mark F. Preddy, Jr., Curtis R. Moore III, Lauren M. Crawley, Zev, John D. Smith, and Michele Wilburn, 12 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great great Grandchild. Nieces Brenda Watts, Rick, and Donna Norris, Bob
Lois worked in the medical field for thirty years. She began working for Bendel Johnson in 1970. The practice grew and she was fortunate to work with Drs Hoyet L Chance, Tommy Mooke, James Moss, Thomas Palmer for many years. Mother enjoyed and loved each person she had the privilege of establishing lifelong friendships.
Honoring Lois as pallbearers will be Mark F. Preddy, Jr., Curtis R. Moore, III, John D. Smith, Brian Wasson, Luke Wasson, Mason Wood, Jacob Wood, & Soloman Wiggins
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her special thanks to her Summer Grove Church, special friends of Burgandy Ridge, and Felicia and Soloman Wiggins.
