Lofton Shane Rogers

Lofton Shane Rogers, age 51, of Gloster, LA passed away Sunday April 17, 2022, with his family by his side.  Shane fought a valiant battle with ALS.

An avid outdoorsman, Shane nicknamed "Shameless" loved being outside and his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing. He was known for making others laugh with crazy antics and loved being the center of attention. His wild sense of humor and kind heart will be remembered by all that knew him.

Shane was born March 13, 1971, in Shreveport, LA to James Lofton and Charlotte O'Neal Rogers. He was proceeded in death by his mother Charlotte Rogers, and his beloved grandmothers Grace Watts Rogers and Margie Shively O'Neal. He is survived by his father James Lofton Rogers, loving wife and caretaker Christie Barnes Rogers, his cherished children Kaylee Rogers (Brandyn), Hunter Rogers, Matthew Monie, Dustin Barnes (Miranda) and Kenneth Barnes (Sasha.)  Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters Cheyenne Rogers Bryant and Kimberly Rogers Duncan (Mark); grandchildren Kara Barnes, Cameron Barnes, Brooklyn Barnes, Julian Arroyo, Alexia Arroyo, and Adalynn Arroyo; nieces Hannah Grace Bryant and Katie Duncan (Anthony); nephew Gavin Duncan (Miranda), great nephews John Brooks Duncan, Vincenzo D'Errico, and Rhodes Duncan; lifelong friend Tony Emerson, close friend Steve Sanders and other extended family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Shane's life will be held at 10 am on Saturday April 23, 2022, at the Betty and Leonard Phillips Deaf Action Center of Louisiana, 601 Jordan St. Shreveport, LA 71101. Officiating will be Pastor Heath Peloquin of Summer Grove Baptist Church, where Shane was a member.
