Blanchard, LA – Lloyd Edward Saunders "Jinx" left his  earthly home to go to his Savior on Thursday, July 26, 2018 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 3:30 at Summer Grove Baptist Church at 8924 Jewella Avenue Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Brother Randy Lee and Brother Wayne Roberts.

Lloyd was born in Leesville, LA to T. C. and Doree Saunders. Lloyd and his wife, Julia D. Saunders, were the owners of Stumpwater Inn Restaurant in Longwood, LA. Lloyd's passion was cooking, fishing, hunting, gardening, painting and gathering arrowheads.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Olan "Buddy" and Donnie Saunders. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 38 years, Julia D. Saunders; his daughters, Michelean S. Cook, Shannon L. Saunders, and Venetia Caudle and husband, Lee; his sons, Richard B. Lee and Randy Lee; his grandchildren, Zachary Cook, Patrick Strickland, Rainey   Grisham, Neeley Caudle and Austin Caudle, Shanna and Cody Lee;  great-grandchildren, Amelia Strickland, Brynlee Grisham, Blakely Grisham and Aubrey Caudle; his sister; Sue Saunders Shelton, a niece, nephews and other family and friends.
