Linda Christine Nichols Thames, 71, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from injuries sustained in a tragic accident that occurred on January 9, 2025.  Linda was born on April 13, 1953, to Nick and Christine Nichols, in Paris, France.

Linda was an Air Force brat, living also in Germany and Maine before settling in Bossier City, Louisiana.  She graduated from Bossier High School in 1971, where she played in the band for 4 years.  Linda married Howard Roger Thames, and they had 3 children.

She was an avid soccer player, coach, and referee.  Linda also loved to bowl and was in a bowling league for several years.  She retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital, in Shreveport, where she proudly worked for 35 years.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; son, Howard Roger Thames Jr.; ex-husband, Howard Roger Thames; and brothers, Martin and Kevin Nichols.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Howard; daughter, Bridgett (Michael); grandson, Branden (Angelina); and granddaughter, Christen (Kaeden).

A memorial service will be held at 11AM, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in the Parlor at Broadmoor Baptist Church, 4110 Youree Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71105.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:  The Linda Thames Family Care Fund at Broadmoor Baptist Church.  This fund will be used to pay for unexpected expenses incurred by Linda's tragic passing.

Linda was a beautiful soul, amazing mom, greatest grandmother, and best friend!  She will be forever missed and loved!
