Linda Kalnasy Helwani was born December 16, 1961, in Amarillo, TX and on Sunday, October 6, 2024, after battling a lengthy illness, she left to decorate heaven with her Christmas knick-knacks, cuddle with her cats, read a John Grisham novel in hot bath, and reunite with her best friend, her mom.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Andrew Kalnasy Sr.; her mother Doris Ball McAfee; her brother David Kalnasy, Sr., her stepfather Irving "Rudy" McAfee; her brother-in-law Haithem Bader, and niece Layla Bader.

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 33 years, Youssef Helwani, her son Joshua James Plunkett, his partner Emily McMillan, and grandsons Jaxon Plunkett and Brayden May of Benton, LA; her brothers: Andrew Kalnasy, Jr. and wife Debbie of Austin, TX; Ernie Kalnasy, Sr and wife Sandy of Benton, LA, her sister Kathy Kalnasy Bader of Yelm, WA, and sister-in-law, Cindy Kalnasy of Benton, LA and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive visitors between 5 PM and 7 PM, Thursday, October 10 at Auld's Funeral, 7849 East Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 11 at 10 AM at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6103 W 70th Street, Shreveport, LA.
