Obituary

Linda Marie Coffman, 63, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on November 14, 2025. Born in Portland, Oregon, Linda carried the beauty, warmth, and resilience of the Pacific Northwest with her throughout her life. She cherished her roots, especially her visits to Cannon Beach and her loyal love for the Oregon Ducks.

Linda was a devoted mother to Amy Duskey, Wesle Coffman, Kyle Coffman, and Bailey Sprague, and a loving mother-in-law to Cody Duskey and Brian Sprague. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren—Riley and Cohen Duskey and Max Sprague—who affectionately knew her as MiMi and Gma. Her family was her heart, and she poured boundless love into each of them.

Linda's compassion extended to all living creatures, including her beloved cats—Lily, Dio, and Thumper—and the outside stray she lovingly named Fluffy.

For more than 20 years, Linda touched countless lives as a dedicated Math Teacher in Caddo Parish. She had a remarkable talent for helping students not only understand math, but discover the joy in learning it. Her classroom was a place of patience, encouragement, and possibility, and her impact will continue to live on through every student she inspired.

Before entering the classroom—her true passion—Linda served in the United States Air Force, where her journey first brought her to Shreveport. She later went on to care for others as a Registered Nurse at Willis-Knighton North, continuing a lifelong calling of service and compassion.

Linda was a breast cancer survivor who fought with extraordinary strength and determination, driven by her deep love for her children and her desire to watch them grow. Her courage, resilience, and devotion are a testament to the remarkable woman she was.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our mother, but profoundly grateful for the love, wisdom, and warmth she shared. We ask that her legacy continue in the many lives she touched—with kindness, with strength, and with the belief that learning can change a life.

Linda will be forever loved and forever missed.
