Linda was born by midwife on June 11, 1946 in Bonita, La. She died on June 23, 2016 after beating cancer several times. Linda was a longtime resident of Stonewall, La. Over the years, Linda, with her husband Larry, opened her home to many foster children and people in need. Linda also worked for Wal-Mart for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Frances Wooden, her husband Roger "Larry" Carpenter, and son William "Kris" Carpenter. She leaves behind 2 daughters, Lindsay Carpenter with husband Terence McKinney, and Billie Coleman; 2 sons Kerry Carpenter and Roger "Kelly" Carpenter; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; one sister Jackie Smith with husband Wayne and one brother Roger Wooden with wife Gloria. She also leaves behind countless friends and family that she has cared for, and that have cared for her as well.
