Leonard Sharpley, Sr. was born on August 26, 1939, in Coushatta, Louisiana. He entered rest on September 11, 2024, at the age of 85. Leonard retired from DOTD with 35 years of service.He loved working in his yard and keeping it beautiful.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clinton, Sr (Slim) and Josephine Procell and siblings Marvin, Lois, Louis, Daisy, Kay.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children Leonard Sharpley Jr. (Boo Boo), Bernice Sharpley, Patricia Sharpley; His loving companion Ruby; siblings Fay, David, Johnny, Clinton Jr, Bobby Ray, Bubba, James, and Liz; 10 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2024, from 10am to 11am at Aulds Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. A funeral service will begin at 11am after visitation. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Haughton. Serving as Pallbearers are TJ Fuller, Maddox Fuller, Lance Weinman, Chris Weinman, Fred Hayes Jr, and Mike Cernigliaro Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Clinton Sharpley, Jr and Kenneth Hines.
