Lena "Lynn" Burnetta Young passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. She was born on September 3, 1943 to Lee and Viola Denton and adopted by Zollie and Catherine Young in Gainesboro, Tennessee. She was a nurse for over 30 years who was a tireless worker and cared deeply for her patients. She developed a special bond over several years caring for a special needs child until she was incapacitated by a stroke. She served her community as Mentor and sponsor for many years for A.A.  Preceding her in death are her parents and numerous relatives.

Lena is survived by her sisters Helen Baker of Tennessee and Wanda of Florida; seven children, Leslie Matthews and wife Ann with Roscoe and Junebug; Patricia and husband Daniel Servatius with Pink and Charity; Donna; George Bradley and wife Jennifer; David Young and Elaine; Daniel Young; and John Mitchell and wife Georgianna. She had eight grandchildren: Mattie, Bubba, Clint, Josh, Breana, and David Jr, Chance,   and Michaela. She had five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1000 a.m. thru 1200 noon Saturday May 25, 2019 at Aulds Funeral Home.
