Lash Larue Wright, 69, was born June 25,1954, in Monroe, Louisiana to Johnny and Wilma (Aust) Wright and he passed away November 1, 2023, at his home in Shreveport, Louisiana. Lash was born the 16th of 16 children.

Lash loved his daughters with all his heart.  He also loved country music and playing his guitar, and his SUV!  Lash would often go to his sister, Charlene's house and play his guitar and sing her his favorite Vern Gosdin songs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Wilma Wright; wife, Joy Wright, brothers, Joe Boyd Wright, Albert Lee Wright, Lloyd "Bud" Wright, and Floyd Wright; and sisters, Mattie Lou Wright, Patsy Ruth Wright, Estell Ebarb, Dorothy McDonald, Rudell Malone, and Elsie Galbraith.

Lash is survived by his daughters, Lisa Marie Wright and Jennifer Diane Wright; brothers, James Thomas Wright and Cornelius Wright; sisters, Charlene Sirman, Mary Sue Caraway, and Stella Wright; nephew, Mike Malone; special niece, Sheila Ann Malone; longtime friend and boss, Leon Henley; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service honoring Lash will be held at 10 AM on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71115.
