Larry Ray Williams, beloved son, brother, father, and veteran, passed away in San Diego, California on May 20, 2025, from complications of a stroke, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and resilience. Born on October 26, 1974, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Mozell Atkins and Ben Williams, Larry's early life was shaped by the deep bonds of family. He was lovingly raised by Rosie and Earnest Randle alongside his many siblings. After graduating high school, Larry moved to Dallas, Texas, where he spent his early adult years. His life took a meaningful turn on December 16, 2003, when he joined the United States Navy. It was there he discovered a profound connection to the sea and a proud sense of duty in serving his country. Stationed in San Diego, Larry embraced military life and found his true calling aboard naval ships, defending the nation he cherished. During his time in the Navy, Larry was blessed with the birth of his beloved daughter, Jazmyn, a moment that filled him with immense pride and joy. Becoming a father was a title he held dearest and carried with unwavering love. After his honorable discharge on September 15, 2011, Larry continued to pursue personal growth and service. He earned his associate's degree within two years, exemplifying his determination and commitment to education. For the next 12 years, he dedicated himself to the field of security, where his calm strength and sense of responsibility made a lasting impact. Larry will be remembered not only for his service and achievements but for the warmth and kindness he shared with those around him. His vibrant spirit, quiet strength, and deep devotion to his family will be deeply missed. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Jazmyn Williams, his loving sisters—Felicia Williams, Melinda Williams, Dorothy Williams, Ruthy Thomas, Lavonne Addison—and his brother, Johnny Williams. His legacy continues through his 12 nephews and 14 nieces, all of whom carry forward his memory with pride and love. Larry's presence was a blessing to all who knew him, and his life will forever be celebrated by those who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend.
