Larry was born to Everett Martin Rogers and Elimina Jane Rogers (nee Strayhan) both of Plain Dealing, Louisiana. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. After being honorable discharged from the Navy he attend a technical school and became a refrigeration tech. and was employed by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Shreveport, La. for over 39 years. Larry was married to Virginia Juanita (Nita) Rogers (nee Calloway) for 62 years. Their children are Sue Lawrence (nee Rogers), Don Rogers, and Jerry Rogers.
