Shreveport, LA - Larry Douglas Gregg, Age 69, passed away August 6, 2015 at his home. Family visitation will be held Friday 6-8 PM at Aulds Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday at the Broadmoor UMC Kilpatrick Chapel with the Rev Dr. Greg Davis officiating. He was born November 26, 1945 in Shreveport, LA to Jessie R. Gregg and Mauzelle O. Gregg. He was a retired Captain with the Shreveport Police Department from 1967 to 1988, and retired Security Officer with the Caddo Parish School Board. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the International Union of Police Association #75, the A.C. Steere PTA, South Highlands Magnet PTA. The Youree Drive Middle School PTA, and the Caddo Magnet High School PTA. He was a beloved father, avid walker, enjoyed extensive travel, and always had a book to read. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Carole Gregg Wallace. He is survived by his son, Michael Brian Gregg of Blaine, WA; daughter, Kathryn Gregg Tullos of Shreveport; granddaughter, Morgan Elizabeth Hibbard-Gregg; sister, Jerry Amaitis of Barrington Hills, IL; brother, James D. Gregg and spouse Joan of Garland, TX; Seven nieces and nephews and their families and many additional relatives and friends. Memorials can be made to Providence House, St. Jude's, and the Shriners Children's Hospital, or charity of the donor's preference.
