Kristina M. Nix was born in Shreveport, LA on November 19, 1979. She passed away suddenly in Shreveport, LA on November 19, 2024; surrounded by family and loved ones.

Kristina graduated high school from Santa Fe high school and continued on to gain a degree in medical billing and coding. She had many talents, as her many occupations displayed. To know Tina was to know love, acceptance, no judgement, and a great laugh. Although she struggled in more ways than one, and was faced with countless battles, Kristina always remained so forgiving and loving. She had such a big and kind heart, strong faith, and optimistic view of life. She never gave up. She met no stranger and always wanted to help in any way she could, she was loved by so many. Kristina loved a good, cooked meal, an episode of ghost adventures, and a house full of her family. She was a lover of almost all things; God, family, animals, and being a Mimi were most definitely of her favorite. Kristina will be so deeply missed and forever loved by so many.

She is preceded in death by her father; CW Strain and uncle; Fred Strain. As well as her dogs; Sophie, Charley and Lucy. Kristina is survived by her children; daughter Madison and spouse Avery, Rylie and spouse Asa, and son Zachary Salter. Her step mother; Nina Strain, aunt and uncle; Linda and Bruce Mullican, and her brother and sister in law; Michael and Sarah Strain, as well as her grand children Adalynn and Aubree.
