Kennith Orlando Haws of Haughton, Louisiana, passed away on January 31, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

Kennith was born on June 4, 1959, to James Roland and Juanita Haws in Albuquerque, NM. After graduating from Cap Rock High School in Amarillo, TX, he joined the Marines. After his service, he returned to Amarillo, where he became a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Kennith was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Jimmy and Mark Haws; and sisters, Barbara Hatzel and Brenda Slater. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cherrie Nielsen; his children, Jerrod Haws, Naomi Chavez, Adam Haws, Conrad Estrada and

Jonathan Haws; stepchildren, Chelle Williams and Melissa Goodman; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Dawsyn, Brianna, Isaiah, Allie, Gavin, Caleb, and Kade; sisters Tina Teel and husband Jimmy, Melody Gehring, and husband, Tommy; and Michelle Smith, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and his two beloved dogs, Pebbles & Derby.

Kennith was a dedicated husband and father who enjoyed everything related to computers and Star Trek. He was always ready with a corny joke for any occasion and loved to make people laugh.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tyler Lash, oncologist, of Willis Knighton, and Stephanie Plunkette, RN, and Emily Zeigler, LPN of St. Joseph Hospice. The attention and care Kennith received from these healthcare providers is unparalleled and will forever be remembered. The family would also like to thank neighbors, Greg and Audrey Friesian, for their daily assistance and support through these months.

Honorary pallbearers are Greg Friesian, Dan Wagoner, Jimmy Clark, Stephen Goodman, Kade Hamblin, and Caleb Goodman.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February, at 2:00 PM in the Aulds Funeral Home Chapel.
