Kenneth Joey Cook, age 68, was born on December 3, 1957 at Barksdale Air Force Base, Bossier City, Louisiana. He passed away peacefully in his home on September 3, 2026 in Blanchard, Louisiana. Joey, as he was known to his friends and family, was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed using his carpentry skills to help friends and family, including working on a family cabin in Arkansas. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast who loved spending time with his family and friends fishing at Lake Bistineau, hunting at Redheimer, Kisatchie National Forest and Driskill Mountain, Bienville Parish. Another passion of his was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle; he was a lifetime rider that measured his life in miles and memories. Joey will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. His memory will live on through the lives of those he touched and the family he loved so dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father Master Sgt. Kenneth P. Cook, mother JoAnn Cook, and a brother Eddie M. Cook.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his two sons; Ryan Powell and wife Rachel of Blanchard, Louisiana along with their children Carmen P. Crow and Husband Keifer, Spencer N. Powell,Tyler K. Powell, Marshall P. Powell, and their grandchild Cullen L. Crow. His son Joey C. Cook and wife Kelsey of Bossier City, Louisiana. A brother Steve Cook and wife Lane of Okland, Tennessee. A sister Tammie Gray and husband Gene of Natchitoches, Louisiana. He also leaves behind two nephews Chris and Brett and a niece Brittany.

A celebration of his life will be at Eastwood Church of Christ, 4100 Highway 80, Haughton, Louisiana on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM. The service will be officiated by his longtime friend Thomas ‘Bubba’ Lee.
