A memorial service to honor the life of Kenneth C. "Punt" Boyter will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 E. Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA, and officiated by his grandson, Shane Dickey.
Punt was born on July 15, 1938 and went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2016, after a brief illness. Punt received his nickname at a young age and was known by it for the majority of his life. He loved playing football and shared many stories over the years of his playing days. After his football years, he went on to build race car motors and was widely known for his expertise in the field. He once received an award from Lee Iacocca with the Ford Motor Company for being the "Best of the Best".
Those left to cherish his memory include: his loving wife of 29 years, Jeanne Dickey Boyter; his children, Travis Boyter, and wife Dawn, of Doyline, LA; Kenny Boyter, and wife Liz, of Elm Grove, LA; and his step-children, Jayne Tappe of Shreveport; Jimmie Dickey, Jr. of Shreveport; Beth Ann Carter, and husband Terry, of Shreveport. His surviving grandchildren are Dana Boyter, Tiffany Boyter, Sarah Boyter, Deborah Boyter, Charles Brooks, Nikki Brooks, April McLemore, John Tappe, Jr., Jimmie Dickey, III, Terry Dickey, Shane Dickey, and Chad Smith, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Punt was a special man that loved his family with all his heart. He will be dearly missed by many whose lives he touched over the years. He fought a good fight and now will walk the streets of gold forever.
