Kelly D. Morgan, 53 years young died Tuesday June 10, 2025. He was born in Texarkana, Texas and at the time of his death he resided in Grand Chain, Illinois.

Kelly's journey through life was so full of friends wherever he went.

His last job took him to Illinois where he was a Quality Control Supervisor on the Olmsted Lock and Dam.

He was an avid gardener and also loved the weather. At one time he was thinking about being a weatherman. Instead he was so good in math (calculus & algebra) that he tutored students and loved doing it in his spare time.

He was preceded in death by his father Fred M. Morgan and is survived by his life partner Leon Mitchell, his daughter Brianna Dungan, his granddaughter Kinleigh Kristine Thompson, his mother Patricia C. Morgan and his two brothers Kerry D. Morgan and Matthew D. Morgan.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 27th in Shreveport, Louisiana at 2 pm. It will be a private Celebration of Life for family and close friends only.
