Kathleen, "Kathy or Gravy", to all of us, age 74, of Shreveport, Louisiana, was born on June 22, 1950, and passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Willis Knighton Medical Center (North campus) in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Russell M. McConnell; mathernal grandparents, Frank and Mary Sacarino; brother, Richard Coverston; her first husband, Charles H. Hammock Sr.; and her second husband, Bobby L. Mitchell Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Jean A. McConnell; sons, Charles H. Hammock Jr. (Ginny) and Matthew D. Hammock; stepchildren, Bobby L. Mitchell Jr. (Wendi) and Sherrie L. Burrow; brothers, Patrick (Cody) and Michael McConnell, her uncle, Allen McConnell; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and her lifelong friends, Annie Boyle and Beverly Wessler.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Willis Knighton health facility, the CCU doctors and nursing staff, for their loving care, and to Annie Boyle, for her care and help in the past several months.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, January 17, 2025, in the chapel at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71115.
