Obituary

Julia Broadway (Stretch) age 69 of Bossier City, La., formerly of Cumberland, Md., passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family. She suffered a long battle with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Emerick, mother Susan 'Diehl' Emerick, brother, Frank Emerick, nephews, Eric Burgess, Matthew Dolly, and James Reckley.

She is survived by her sisters, Barbara (Gerald) Perkins, Louise (Bob) Dolly and Mary (Rocco) Covelli, Brother, Dan (Akemi) Emerick.

Nieces:Stephanie (Brandon Mullins) Dolly, Elika Emerick, Elina (John Garcia) Emerick, Maggie (Blake Shakleford) Reckley

Nephews: Andrew Reckley, Paul Reckley

Great nieces: Elizabeth Reckley, Evelyn Reckley, Kiyo Emerick, Hannah Shakelford

Great nephews: Issac Shakelford, Carson Mullens

Coming soon baby Garcia and

her two faithful companions, Buddy and Boomer

Julia proudly served her country in the United States Air Force for 24 years. When she retired, she loved reading, going to the movies, working in her yard, watching old black and white movies on TV and traveling all over the world with her sister Barb.

Special thank you to her very dear friends Dottie and Lee Moore, Suzy Lehr, Bill and Suzanne West, Katherine and Gary Gullett, Barbara and Buster Lyes, and Judi Harris. Sincere thanks to Dr. Maxwell "Chip" McDonald of Willis Knighton Center for his caring concern and friendship, the Hospice team from Willis Knighton and Julia's very kind sitter Ms. Kathy Brown.
