Joyce Elaine Bounds Mawby left us on August 20, 2021. She was born into this world on September 12, 1926 to James Henry Bounds and Gracie Belle Bounds of Mott, LA both of whom preceded her in death. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Wilbert Wesley Mawby Jr, daughters Patricia Ann Wooldridge and Terry Lynne Runyan, son-in-law Richard Scott Runyan and grandson Zachary Scott Runyan.

Joyce worked at Schumpert Medical Center for 29 years where she was a head nurse and spent her last few years in medical services until she retired June 15th, 1990. Her many years at Schumpert were very meaningful to her and her association with the patients, the staff, and most especially the Sisters of Charity enriched her life and nursing career. Her smile and sense of humor brightened rooms as well as people's lives.

When Joyce was not at work her passion turned to family and gardening. Her backyard was always full of seasonal flowers many of which were made into bouquets for church gatherings.

Joyce Elaine Mawby will be lovingly remembered and truly missed from here to eternity.
