IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joyce
Hansen
January 29, 1943 – April 10, 2020
Joyce was born and raised in Orlando, Florida where she grew up with a keen interest in fresh and salt water fishing. She enjoyed anything to do with salt water--fishing, crabbing, swimming. Joyce enjoyed working outside with all types of plants especially growing vegetables. She moved to Louisiana in the 80s to be near family. She then began work at Hangar 2 on Barksdale AFB as a bartender. She enjoyed meeting people from all over the world during her employment and was recognized for her outstanding performance. Her interest in fishing was again sparked at the Red River where she was often found with a line in the water.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Liston H. Silas and Lerona J. Silas. Joyce is survived by a son, Carl Gustafson; two daugthers, Darlene Marsh and her husband, Phillip, and Sheila Williams; a sister, Sharena Estes and husband, Douglas; a brother, Edward Silas; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews,
A memorial service will be planned at a later date due to the current travel restrictions in place.
