Joseph Claude Buckman was born February 2nd, 1972, in Moline, Illinois, and went to be with the Lord on October 30th, 2020.

He is a graduate of Parkway High School and earned a degree in culinary arts at BPCC, and worked in the Shreveport area as an executive chef.

Going before him were his father Jim, step-father Charlie, and brothers Jeff and Duane.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Mary- Michelle Buckman and Haley Nichols, mother Mary Landry, brother Brad and wife, Shellie, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jody's honor to Winners Circle Saturday Outreach, payable to Shreveport Community Church, marked "for WC Saturday: Jody Buckman."

However, as it is written:

What God has prepared for those

Who love him
