Jonn Ross France, cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed peacefully to his eternal home with his wife Janice and son, Lance Parker by his side, on December 22, 2022, at his home.

Jonn was born on May 1, 1952, in Austin, Texas to Norma Witham France and Myron France. Jonn was employed by Bellsouth/AT&T for 40 years. He enjoyed being a reserve officer for Bossier City Police Department for 17 years then the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Reserve for 10 years. He served in the Air Force Reserve for six years. Later, Jonn volunteered at Center of Hope at St. Andrew Baptist Church, Panama City Beach, FL for several years.

On February 20, 2000, he married Janice Townes France and shortly after, they moved to Panama City Beach, FL. Jonn received a devastating health diagnosis in 2007, which he fought valiantly until his passing.

Jonn loved his family and friends and was often told he was a testimony. His love of the Lord never waivered.  Jonn lived each day to the fullest, discussing children, grandchildren, airplanes and guns. His fur-babies, Griffin and Bentley were never far from his side.

Jonn was preceded in death by his father, Myron France, his brother, Donn France and parents-in-law, Charles and Jeanette Townes.

Jonn's wisdom and humor will be missed by his wife, Janice France; mother, Norma France; children, Jana Jackins (Robert), Paul Parker (Bridgette), Brian France (Michelle), Jill Latimer (Rob), Lance Parker (Amanda); grandchildren Casi, Sydney, Ty, Edy, Creighton, Carlee, Cale, and Cora; brothers, Todd (Mary), Kent, Mark (Margie); in addition to his nieces and nephews and his many friends.

Jonn had so many to help with his needs as well as comfort, including Todd France, Lance Parker, Amanda Parker, Sydney Parker, Ty Parker, and Chuck Duncan, as well as his out-of-town children through words and acts of kindness. So many friends stepped up to encourage Jonn. Not to be forgotten are St. Andrew Baptist Church, Panama City Beach, Florida, STAT Home Health Care, Christus Hospice, Dr. Scott Boniol along with his ever-caring nurses and staff.

A celebration of life to honor Jonn will be held at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana 71115, on January 4, 2023, at 2:00 pm.
