Jonathan M. Thompson, 51, born November 16,1971 of Shreveport Louisiana passed away on February 19, 2023. Jonathan was a loving son, father, brother, and friend.

Preceding in death are grandparents W.J. and Elizabeth Thompson and J.W. and Anne Leshe and Alyce Ortiz, aunt.

He earned a master's degree in military history from ULM. His love for history and tabletop gaming lead to him form Battlefield Press International. He also wrote several game related books including Sherwood, Agents of G.A.I.A., and Terran Trade Authority. Also, he wrote some fiction stories including A Boy and His Dog. He was an avid reader with a large library that brought him much joy.

Jonathan loved his family and friends immensely. He made those around him feel important and loved. Jonathan is survived by his mother, Marilyn Leshe DeLeon; father, James Richard Thompson; brother, Adam Thompson; son, Terrence Thompson; W.M. Leshe, uncle; five stepbrothers and stepsisters and best friends Adrianne Compton and Renee Bodin. Services will be held Wednesday April 5, 2023, at Auld's Funeral Home in Shreveport from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
