Shreveport, La.-  Johnny Faye Hickingbottom, Sr. age 71 passed away on April 3, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mr. Hickingbottom was born to Verna and Leo Hickingbottom on September 9, 1948.  He was in the Iron Workers Union for many years before retiring due to health issues.  He enjoyed his time fishing on Wallace Lake and deer hunting with family.

Mr. Hickingbottom was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Tyler Hickingbottom, sister Mary and brothers Leo Jr. and James Hickingbottom.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Johnny Hickingbottom, Jr. and wife Jamey of Mansfield, La., Ronnie Hickingbottom and wife Mary of Keatchie, La. and Chris Hickingbottom and wife Brittany of Bossier, La.; brother Joe; Sisters Pat and Wanda; grandchildren, Stetson, Jake, Katie, Sarah, Breanne, Jamie, Eric and Morgan. One VERY special niece Wendy Ward whom he loved more than anything. Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank Garden Park Nursing Center, Willis Knighton South and all the doctors and nurses that are putting themselves on the front line to save others during this pandemic and for all that you did for our dad.  We can't let this end without thanking Wendy Ward for all the love she showed our dad during his lifetime.  She went above all others and we can never repay you and your family for all that you did for our Dad.   He loved you until his very last phone call which was right before his very last breath.

Due to the Corona Virus we will not be having a service at this time.  Once we are clear to gather again sons of Johnny would like for all his family and friends to get together and tell your best "Big Johnny" stories.
