Johnny Ray Fletcher passed into Heaven on February 7, 2019 at Riverview Care Center in Bossier City, Louisiana.
A lifelong resident of the Shreveport/Bossier area, John was preceeded in death by his parents, John D. Fletcher and Agnes Ayers Fletcher of Bossier City.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, LaLette DeLaune Fletcher; his dear sister Judy Fletcher Wheeler of Uncertain, Texas; his stepchildren Jennifer Cook and husband Merlin, of Longview, Texas and Dr. Brandon Venden and his wife Leslie of Shreveport; and 3 step grandchildren Cameron, MacKenzie and Hartley.
John was Operations Manager at Patterson Dental Supply in Shreveport for 32 years. Later careers included long haul truck driving. John also held a USCG Master's License and conducted scenic tours of Caddo Lake piloting the paddlewheeler "SWAMP THING".
John enjoyed many hobbies: woodworking, landscaping and fishing to name a few. His favorite pastime was creating very detailed geometric design artwork.
A special thank you to long time friend Harold Cloud who shared lunch and memories with him on what was to be the last day of John's life.
John endured much emotional and physical suffering in life, but he bore everything with quiet courage and dignity due to his faith in God. He was one of the kindest people on Earth and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to :
