Johnny Kurt Edwards went to be with Jesus on April 28, 2015. Johnny passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, at the age of 59. Johnny was born in Edinburg, Texas, on May 29, 1955. Johnny worked many years for Bearing Service and Supply in Shreveport. Johnny's love and devotion for his family and friends, and truly anyone in need, has been an inspiration to all that knew him. Johnny's passion was to spend time with family and friends. Most of all, he loved the family trips to Arkansas. Johnny is preceded in death by his father, Elbert Edwards, and his mother, Mary Edwards. He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Jerianne Edwards; his daughter, Jennifer Edwards; son, Daniel Edwards; daughter, Misty Collins; and grandchildren, Gracie, Marc, and Charly. He is also is survived by his brother, Roger Edwards, and sisters, Cindy Coleman and Beverly Johnston; his father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Betty Faust, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial Celebration of Johnny's Life will be held at Richland Hills Christian Fellowship at 7851 Highway 1 North in Shreveport, Louisiana on the 1st day of May, 2015 at 10:00 am. Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
