Johnny Ray Blankenship born to James (Jimmie) Blankenship and Nettie Cook Blankenship on January 22, 1946, died at the VA hospital in Shreveport, LA on September 19, 2023. Johnny served in the United States Air Force and after leaving the Air Force he drove a truck for many years doing long haul deliveries. He was also an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings' sisters Freddie and husband Eugene White, Nona Fey, brothers Henry, Carrol and wife Nancy, James Charles (JC) and wife Alanna, Joseph, and brother-in-law Curtis Leach. He is survived by sister Doris Leach and sister-in-law Margret. His three children Tina and husband Doug Rea, her children Miranda Kamp, and Keith Rea. Kenneth, and girlfriend Melinda West, his children Mellissa Stracener, Olivia (Jaxson) Blankenship, Jaclynn (Page) Jordan, Becca Williams, Robbie Williams.  William, and wife Shanon and children Barbara Ann , William Blankenship Jr, Annalicia Blankenship, and Amber Tidwell. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
