Johnnie was born in Quitaque, TX, on April 13, 1929. She spent her childhood picking cotton on the farm alongside her siblings. At the age of 17, she met the love of her life, Rex Voyles, & they married just three months later in Lubbock, TX & had 3 beautiful children in Big Springs, TX

Johnnie worked at Anthony's in Chickasha, OK. After retiring, she moved to Hobbs, NM, to be closer to her family. In her free time, you could find her in the kitchen, making bread, cakes, cookies, fudge, & candy. Johnnie also had a passion for painting, spending time outdoors, & nurturing her rose bushes. It brought Johnnie so much joy to travel & cook with her family. Her faith was a huge part of her life here on earth, her well used bible is a testimony of that.

Our beloved Toottoot/Grandmother passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at the age of 96. Surrounded by her daughter (Vicki), granddaughter (Morgan), grandson (Justin), his wife Jackie, and great-granddaughter (Madison). Johnnie was preceded in death by her mother, father, 4 siblings, husband Rex, & son's Gary & Don. She is survived by her daughter Vicki, & numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
