1960-2024

John William Wiese was born on September 11, 1960, in Shreveport Louisiana, and passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2024, at age 63. He is survived by his daughter Holly Ford (Ryan), his son Alexander Wiese, who is currently serving in the US Navy,  and his former spouse, Tanya Summers Opperman. He was also the grandfather of two beautiful grandchildren, Elias and Margot.

John spent most of his career in sales, with the last few years as a landman in the oil and gas industry. His favorite pastime was fishing on Lake Claiborne in the early morning hours.

The funeral will be held in the chapel of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Shreveport, LA, on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hope House ministry at Holy Cross would be greatly appreciated.
