John L. Underwood was born June 9, 1951 in Plain Dealing, LA to the late Zenna and Huey P. Harris. Preceding him in death are two brothers Ike and Henry Harris and one sister Barbara Harris. On June 19, 1979 he married Ruby May Bryant and from this union six children were born. He departed this life on August 3, 3033.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Ruby Underwood; daughter Tina Underwood; seven sons Mark Underwood, Steven Underwood, Keven Underwood, Danny Underwood, Keith Underwood, John Underwood, and Ray Flowers; brothers Rickey and Huey P. Harris; sister Mattie and Dexter Davis; daughter-in-law Tiny McGlothin; son-in-law Tyrell Kennon and a host of grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and friends.

We the family of John L. Underwood wish to express our deepest heart felt gratitude to all of you for your prayers, love, words of comfort, visits, cards, flowers, and phone calls, and any other acts of kindness we received during our time of bereavement.

Final resting place will be at Caldwell Cemetery.
