John David Poe

Born June 19, 1946 – Died January 11, 2022

Born in Maryville Tennessee to William and Ada Poe.  David has been married to Catherine Poe for more than 58 years.  He is now in Heaven with Jesus.  David passed in Shreveport Louisiana after a lengthy illness.  He fought the good fight against Alzheimer's to the end.  He now has no more pain and suffering.  He loved his family and enjoyed life.

David is survived by his wife Catherine Poe.  He has one son Tim Poe, daughter Tamara Poe Sims and husband Louis Glen Sims.  Grandchildren – Crystal and JD Wood, Jessica and Chris Beal, Ashley Norman, and Garrett Poe and Fiance' Lea Ward.  David has Great Grandchildren – Jacob Wood, Emily Wood, Ronda Beal, Elaina Poe, and Landon Norman.  David did not want after life services.  Donations can be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in his honor.
