Obituary

John L. Hall, a longtime resident of Shreveport, Louisiana, with all being well within his Soul, passed away April 11, 2021. He was born to Frances M. and John G. Hall.

During John's youth, his Dad was part of the Vital to Defense World War II effort working with scientists, including Einstein, to extract elements necessary for the development of the atomic bombs. (this information was classified for many years). Accomplishing parts of this process required travel to many different locations in the United States. Because of the travel involved with this work John's Dad was issued a ration stamp for a brand new car, when new cars were not available to the general public; however this travel resulted in John's attending his second grade school year in Morgantown, West Virginia; Oakridge, Tennessee; Chicago, Illinois; Provo, Utah; Beaumont, Texas; and Freeport, Texas; which in itself was a remarkable feat for a young child.

John was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. He was a man of integrity, and Impeccable Character. John was a graduate of Doyline High School, and Louisiana Tech where he was Mensa, majoring in engineering, although he pursued a career in professional business management. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Gamma Si Chapter. John was employed by Kroger Grocery Company, where he excelled in Supervisory capacity, for thirty-seven and one half years, until his retirement. He was a Charter and Founding Member of The Exchange Club of America in Shreveport, Louisiana. John was President of Dad's Club at Loyola College Preparatory High School. He belonged to the Progressive Men's Club and served as President of that organization.

John is survived by as he said, "The greatest love of my life," his wife of 32 years Pauline, son John Christopher and wife Kara, sister Merry Hall Bridges, granddaughters Madison and Marley, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and numerous beloved friends. He will be greatly missed by Family, Friends, and Community.

Special thanks to Dr. Randy Del Mundo, M.D., Cornerstone Hospital of Bossier, and St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House (a branch of GOD'S ANGELS).
