John "Nick" DeLouche,74, was born in Shreveport Louisiana on March 15th 1947 and departed this life on April 29th 2021 having been a life-long resident of this area. Nick graduated from Byrd High School in 1965 before attended Northwestern State University. Nick entered the USAF where he proudly served his country from 1968-1975. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, Nick graduated from college and worked for many years in the Shreveport-Bossier area in the Insurance industry. Later in life, Nick obtained two masters degrees degrees and used those to teach for many years in colleges, universities and business schools in the local area.
Nick was a member and friend to the recovery community of the Shreveport-Bossier area from 1987 to the time of his death.
Nick was the youngest of five children and was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary DeLouche and three of his siblings, Frank, Dion and Suzanne. He is survived by his sister Judy DeLouche Ford of Tyler Texas, his son, John Nicholas DeLouche Jr. of Shreveport, his daughter, Karen Camille DeLouche of Orlando Florida, his eight grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Dad's team at the Overton Brooks VA medical center in Shreveport as well as the staff of both Lifepath Hospice and Regional Hospice of Shreveport for the great care you provided dad. Thank you very much to all of dad's friends and family that helped him in the end, especially Mike Baker, Lea Anne White, and dad's grandson Michael.
Graveside services will be held on May 10th at 1:00 PM at Forest Park East Cemetery in Shreveport.
