It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my husband, John Christian Britton. John passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 57.
Born in Dallas and a longtime resident of Shreveport, John lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and a deep love for his community. Whether he was showcasing his craftsmanship as a carpenter with Middlebrook Construction, serving his country in the United States Navy, or competing within the regional dart community, John left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He found his greatest joy in the simple things—fishing at Lake Bistineau and Broken Bow Lake, cheering on the LSU Tigers, and spending time with those he loved. He is survived by myself, his mother Lynda, his son Austin, his brother Jeff, and a large circle of extended family and friends.
We will always remember John for his competitive spirit, his dedication to his family, and his unwavering loyalty.
Thank you for your love and support during this difficult time.
