John James Catapano Jr. entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2022. He was 82. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor his memory.

He was born on March 3, 1940, in Mt. Vernon, NY to parents John and Concetta Catapano Sr., both of whom preceded him in death.

John served in the US Marine Reserves and had a wide range of skill sets as a young adult, including mechanics and carpentry, which led him to a career with General Motors until he retired in 2003. His life's passion was spending time with his family. His other interests included carpentry, woodworking, fishing, hunting, camping and we can't forget to mention the unlimited ear wiggles he gave away so frequently to those he loved.

His greatest love was for the Lord. He shared His Word with everyone he encountered. He has led generations to come to love the Lord as he did. His legacy continues…

Left to cherish, adore and carry on his memory are his many loved ones; beginning with his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Sandra Lee Catapano. Children John A Catapano (Wendy), Lisa A Cifelli (Tony), Vincent E Catapano (Fiancé Jennifer), Edward J Catapano (Chrissy), Faith I Catapano, and Katherine M Kelly (Michael). Grandchildren Ryan Reynolds (Callie), Jordyn Catapano, Nicholas Reynolds, Taylor Catapano, Brooke Catapano, Ava Catapano, Logan Catapano, and Morgan Catapano. Sister Lynne D'Apice (Nick) as well as much loved extended family and cherished friends.
