Joel Asa Rogers, Sr., 51, of Doyline, Louisiana went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 10, 2022 after losing his battle with stage 4 cancer, at his home in Doyline. He was born in Randolph County, Indiana and was adopted by John Asa and Myra Louise Rogers. He went to Columbia Academy, class of 1986. He lived in Columbia, Mississippi with his parents and brother Dick Rogers. He lost everything to hurricane Katrina in 25 and moved to Louisiana after that. He worked at Wal-Mart Auto Service Center for one year and then decided to open up his own mobile auto repair shop.

He is preceded in death by his parents John Asa and Myra Louise Rogers;

He is survived by wife, Shelee Rogers; children Nathan Mercer, Natalie Rogers, and Joel Rogers, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at West Lake Baptist Church Cemetery in Doyline.
