SHREVEPORT - Joe Elliott Wallace, 66, of Shreveport, passed away October 10, 2018.

He was born April 26, 1952 in Shreveport to the late Joe E. and Rebecca Collins Wallace.

Joe graduated from Fair Park High School in 1970 then attended LA Tech University. From age 16, Joe worked various occupations before finding his niche as a courier with Velocity Express which he held for 20+ years.

Joe was an active member of Grace Community Methodist Church where he enjoyed making coffee weekly for the Saturday worship service.

Joe loved spending time with family, whether in-person or on the phone. He was affectionately known as the glue of the family because he kept in touch with everyone. Above all else, Joe loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and he loved to worship and serve Him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faithfulness, and unconditional love for his family and all who knew him.

He is survived by Step-Mother, Virginia Wallace of Addison, TX; Brother and Sister-in-Law Tim and Chris Wallace of Coppell, TX; Sisters Robin Medaries of Monroe, LA; Cathy Walker of Shreveport; Vicki White of Dallas, TX; Sisters and Brothers -in-Law Becky Jo and Jimmy Rizzo of Bloomfield, NJ; Kelley and David Evans of Coppell, TX. He is also survived by 37 nieces and nephews, 35 great-nieces and great-nephews and 2 great, great-nephews. Joe also leaves behind his friend since childhood, Ted Grappe.

A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Community Church, 9400 Ellerbe Rd., Shreveport, LA 71106 at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 27th. Reception immediately following.
