Jody Lynn Midkiff (Big Daddy) age 35, was born on March 27, 1984 in Deridder, LA and was suddenly called home on Sunday, November 24, 2019.

Jody was preceded in death by his grandparents Elbert and Alma Midkiff and Elmer Brister.

He is survived by his wife and love of his life Stella Midkiff; his kids Missy, Mike, Milo, and Fancy; parents Paul and Diane Midkiff of Deridder, LA and Patricia and Jim Mellen of Zwolle, LA; grandmothers Ottie Brister and Nancy Cason; sister Dee Midkiff and Joey; special brothers and sisters Lil Joey, Lil Ken, Jessie, and Heather; numerous nieces and nephews; other parents Clark and Ann Keith.

Jody was a hardworking husband who always made sure his wife and "kids" had everything they wanted. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football every Sunday with his Uncle Joey. Jody took pride in his job and the many guys he called family in the pipeline. He will always be remembered by the smile he had and the love for his family.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 2, 2019, beginning at 5pm at the Calvary Assembly of God near Campti, LA. Funeral services will be held at the church on 2pm Tuesday, December 3, 2019 with pastors Troy Keith, James Mailes, and Donald Mailes officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Lil Ken Cason, Lil Joey Cason, Ty Bagley, Erick Aguillar, Kirklin Henry, Tom Sturgeon, James Striplin, Blake Wood, Jacdo Bonham, and Cole Derrick. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Ken Cason, Joey Cason, and Layne Cason.
