Joal Thomas McKenzie, 75, of Shreveport, LA, passed away on November 19, 2020. He was born to Joseph and Katherine McKenzie on August 10, 1945 in Natchez, MS.

Joal graduated from Woodlawn High School and served honorably in the Navy, stationed in Milton, FL.  He worked many years for Western Electric and the United States Postal Service before retiring in 2005.

Joal had many hobbies that he enjoyed including golf, disc golf and camping, but his greatest love was fishing.

Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Tracy Coco and Rhonda Grider and husband Lance, four grandchildren, Camille, Mallory, Kayllie and Isaac, one great-grandchild, Elizabeth, two sisters, Barbara Ann Washington and Katie Davis, several cousins, nieces and nephews and two great friends, James Bourg and James Rachal. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nora Chandler.

A private celebration of Joal's life will be held by the family. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
