Mr. J. N. Harrell, age 75 of Marion, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born August 14, 1943 in Marion,  J. N. was a U.S. Army veteran and spent most of his career in the construction and gas pipeline industries and also worked as a heavy equipment operator and as a logger. He was known as a "jack of all trades" who enjoyed gardening and woodworking and will be remembered for his good humor, helping others and caring for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Kathleen Pardue Harrell; stepmother, Earline Harrell; sister, Hilda Williams; grandson, Cohen Blayze Alexander Harrell.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Brenda Miller Harrell; daughter, Jan Coleman and husband, Brent; son, Derek Harrell; grandchildren, Ashton Beach and husband, Cody and Andrew Jenkins and Camden Harrell; great-granddaughter, Harlow Beach; two brothers, Kenn Harrell and wife, Carol and Gary Harrell and wife, Marcia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2019 in the First Baptist Church of Marion with Reverends Bubba Hoggatt and Robbie Lawson officiating.

Friends may visit with the family in the church on Monday from 2:00 PM until time of services.
