Jimmy Lee Tigues

August 28, 1953 - November 14, 2024

Jimmy Lee Tigues was born on August 28, 1953 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Odessa Parker and the late Nora Tigues.

Jimmy was educated in the Caddo Parish Public School System, previously worked for the City of Shreveport Water Department and later was self-employed as an appliance repairman and skilled handyman.

Although he experienced adversity, Jimmy was fun-loving and had a lively personality, well-known for his take charge attitude! When remembering his early years, his brother shares that "Jimmy was a great basketball player, could run the fastest and jump the highest. All the colleges wanted him!" Additionally, Jimmy was an excellent cook and even talked about cooking until the very end of his life!

Over the years, when Jimmy was offered the plan of salvation, he always confessed "I know the Lord!" Most importantly, we rejoiced when Jimmy made a clear decision and accepted Christ as his Savior on June 4, 2024.

Jimmy was called home to rest on November 14, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father Nora Tigues, and brothers Raymond Tigues, Gus Brown, and Ralph Frazier.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories: his mother Odessa Parker, (2) daughters Tina Scott (Daniel DeShone Scott), Miyoshi McCree (Charlie McCree); (4) sons Jimmie Jones, Deandre Jones, Jermarrio Jones (Shatisha Casey-Jones), UnTario Jones (Shemeka Mitchell); (20) grandchildren; (5) sisters Odessa Hall, Gracie Brown, Avis Johnson, Patricia Steadman, and Charlotte Williams (in-law); (3) brothers Earnest Frazier, Mose Frazier, Anthony Frazier and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
