Jimmy Duane Owen

Mr. Owen age 73 was born May 21, 1950, to Carl and June Owen in Magnolia, AR and passed away on Wednesday June 14, 2023, in Shongaloo, La.

He was a retired pipe fitter and welding inspector.  Shooting pool was his lifelong passion.  In his younger years he was an avid and excellent archer and loved to hunt and fish.  He continued to fish when he could up until his death. He loved his pet cats Bob and Happy which passed in the fire with him.

He is survived by his son, Jimmy C. Owen and wife Tammy of Wesley, AR.; daughter Melissa Martin and husband Kevin of Sarepta, LA; sister Carla Pearson and husband Doyle of Ingleside, TX; brother Joe Owen and wife Angela of Taylor, AR; grandson Hayden Corbell of Lafayette, LA; Two Brother-in-laws, T. Wayne Hood of Springhill, LA , Joe Thompson and wife Leslie of Springhill, LA, Three step-grandchildren Chase Poe, Coty Poe, and Laecy Poe; and a host of nieces and nephews, and a special friend Cathy Baldridge of Springhill, LA.

Mr. Owen was preceded in death by his wife Ladonna Owen, former wife and mother of his children Peggy Moore, his Parents, sister Nancy Hood and Brother-n-law Jeff Thompson.
