Jimmy Ray Giddings Sr. was born January 7, 1939, in Coushatta, Louisiana. Jimmy Ray passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on May 31, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Son Giddings and Bertha Scott; and daughter, Pamela K. Giddings. Jim is survived by his Wife - Karen Bussler Giddings; Children - Michael Giddings, Jimmy Giddings Jr., Cynthia Hodgson, and Debbra Giddings; and Grandchildren - Justin Hickman, Brianna Hickman, Daniel Giddings, Matthew Woodrum and Jesse Woodrum.

Jimmy Ray was recently retired, but had been a skilled brick layer and talented carpenter for the majority of his life. He was an avid fisherman, and loved to make an occasional trip to the casino to play slots. He was a religious man, spending much time reading the Bible and attending church services. He is loved and missed by his family.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday June 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM, at Hickory Grove Church. The church and cemetery are located at
